A passion for travel

Bobbie's journey began around 1980, guiding for Global Holidays in Bromley, taking holiday makers to the picturesque village of Ehrwald in Austria. This ignited a lifelong passion for showing people around Europe.

Adventures across Europe

For the next 15 years, Bobbie's career blossomed as did her list of languages (currently 7) as she guided tours across Germany, Holland, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, and Switzerland. She worked for well-known companies such as Wallace Arnold, DA Tours, AT Travel, TWA Getaway and Supreme Holidays, accumulating a wealth of international experience and cultural insight.  She fondly recalls two tours to Normandy with private groups of veterans from Rossyth in Scotland, whose members made her an "honorary member of the NVA".

At home to England

After getting married to husband Brian in 1998, Bobbie needed to change the mechanics of her working life, so she studied for the prestigious and hard-earned Blue Badge award, which would enable her to continue her guiding career in her home country.  She's been guiding in the Thames and Chilterns now since 2001 and remains intent on ensuring that all those she guides go home with a smile and a feeling of a day well spent.  She is also co-author of "Windsor, A History And Celebration" (published by Ottakar's).
